Setting Performance Goals Toward Realistic Planning

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Hello Friends,

Has this been one of your better days? Every day is one day closer to your dreams That’s something to be happy about. If you have a job are healthy and have your home. You are fortunate. I am happy to be here with you tonight.

Have you been setting your goals? One way of keeping them in your mind, get a Postit, write down your goal. Put them up all over your house. On the mirror in the bathroom, on the fridge. on cabinets. Any place you can think of as a reminder.

Setting performance goals is essential in achieving your goals. This is where you put all the factors in place, to make sure that a general goal is achievable and doable. However, depending on what kind of goal is your general or ultimate goal, there are a few variations that you can use in setting the performance goals. First is when the goal involves personal, professional, career or other choices that are in line with “upgrading yourself”.

If you’re working on your personal improvement, it is important that you come up with step-by-step procedure on how to achieve your major goal. This step-by-step procedure is to be broken down further into smaller steps, is that monitoring the progress of the minute detail plan is possible almost on a daily basis.

With each step, a set of performance or actions to be taken should be put in place. These steps or actions are needed to be assessed, updated and once in while revised. The logic is that, your goal, specific as it is, is bound to face some resistance. The resistance can come in the form of some

people who will be affected by your performance goal, or other entity. This is not to say, however, that your goal is something wicked, but it is only an acknowledgement that other people have also their own goals.

These conflicting interests can be beneficial in many cases. With your constant interaction with other people, you may come across with ideas that haven’t entered your realization earlier. The performance of these people, moreover, can be very beneficial to you. Their experiences might shed some light on things that continue to baffle you in the first place.

Your colleagues’ experiences in the workplace can be a rich source of knowledge in terms of performance assessment. Of course, you will not poke into their private lives even in informal talks, or even in jest, as they may reveal some development on their personal career.

Performance goal in the company

If you’re an executive or officer of a company, part of your responsibilities will include setting performance goals. This work can be trickier than you might think because this would entail setting a performance for the company that the employees will accept as their own.

The connection and relationship between the company’s long term goals might not appear to compliments even the employees’ short term goals. The connection should be made apparent right from the start. Just like your personal or professional goal setting, the process of setting performance goals for the employees should begin with the listing down of the company or organization’s need.

And if on the personal level, you consider it important to converse with yourself, how much more for the employees and the company that they are working with? This means that constant communication is important.

It is also important to note that this responsibility is not done after the first meeting. Dialogue between the employees or employees with the other officers of the company should be continuous and not a one day affair.

This may entail hard work but you should remember that setting performance goals for the company through the workers will help the company in achieving its ultimate goal. The process also will help the company, as a whole, to remain strong, if not to survive.

Until Next Time

Impossible is Just a Word

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

Hello Friends,

I trust you had a wonderful day today. It is always a blessing to end my day with you.

I have said no politics in this blog, didn’t I? I have one thing to say tonight. We could shake them all up and throw them out with the dish water. Then start over. That’s ALL!

Have you ever wanted something very bad then thought about it for awhile, ended up saying that is just impossible for me. It isn’t!
Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big.
Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t
dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing. But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher. The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment. Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.

LIVE YOUR DREAM!!

Until Next Time,

HOW ALCOHOL AFFECTS THE BRAIN

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

Hello Friends

I am very happy to be back with you again tonight. I posted this last night, when I checked this evening it hadn’t gone through. I am very sorry. I trust you have had a pleasant day.We are getting some of the hot weather this week. In the nineties all week. That’s better then a hundred. Next week we are suppose to cool down a little again.
The elderly wants to stay in where it is a little cooler if  You have air conditioning you should stay by that,

Do you, or do you know someone who has a drinking problem?
I know first hand about that. They won’t admit they have a problem. When I was growing up we had our own living hell in our house. When my dad was sober, he was the nicest man you would ever meet. When he was drinking he was the devil himself

I begged my mother to leave him. You never knew when something would fly at your head. He tried several times to kill my mother. I was living in Kansas. My youngest brother’s wife talked her in to coming to my house. She bought her a ticket to come down from Michigan. He kept calling,  telling her if she didn’t come back he would come down and kill me and my family. I told the sheriff who was a friend, about it. He said he couldn’t do anything until he did something. I told him I was going to keep a gun by the door. You know what they tell you. If he gives you trouble make sure he is in the house. If he isn’t pull him in. He came down to Kansas. I was at the store. He gave my Mother a sob story, he couldn’t live without her, he said he even shot himself. He did. Grazed the top of his head. I told him it was to bad he missed.Folks, Please, please don’t put your families through that. By the way, he was a minister.
The following article will tell you what happens to the brain. This came out of my article vault. Yes, I do have the rights to it.

He said,I once had the unusual, though unhappy, opportunity of observing the same phenomenon in the brain structure of a man, who, in a paroxysm of alcoholic excitement, decapitated himself under the wheel of a railway carriage, and whose brain was instantaneously evolved from the skull by the crash. The brain itself, entire, was before me within three minutes after the death. It exhaled the odor of spirit most distinctly, and its membranes and minute structures were vascular in the extreme.

It looked as if it had been recently injected with vermilion. The white matter of the cerebrum, studded with red points, could scarcely be distinguished, when it was incised, by its natural whiteness; or internal vascular membrane covering the brain, resembled a delicate web of coagulated red blood, so tensely were its fine vessels engorged.

I should add that this condition extended through both the larger and the smaller brain, the cerebrum and cerebellum, but was not so marked in the medulla or commencing portion of the spinal cord.

The spinal cord and nerves.

————————–

The action of alcohol continued beyond the first stage, the function of the spinal cord is influenced. Through this part of the nervous system we are accustomed, in health, to perform automatic acts of a mechanical kind, which proceed systematically even when we are thinking or speaking on other subjects. Thus a skilled workman will continue his mechanical work perfectly, while his mind is bent on some other subject; and thus we all perform various acts in a purely automatic way, without calling in the aid of the higher cent res, except something more than ordinary occurs to demand their service, upon which we think before we perform. Under alcohol, as the spinal center become influenced, these pure automatic acts cease to be correctly carried on. That the hand may reach any object, or the foot be correctly planted, the higher intellectual centre must be invoked to make the proceeding secure. There follows quickly upon this a deficient power of co-ordination of muscular movement. The nervous control of certain of the muscles is lost, and the nervous stimulus is more or less enfeebled.

The muscles of the lower lip in the human subject usually fail first of all, then the muscles of the lower limbs, and it is worthy of remark that the extensor muscles give way earlier than the flex ors. The muscles themselves, by this time, are also failing in power; they respond more feebly than is natural to the nervous stimulus; they, too, are coming under the depressing influence of the paralyzing agent, their structure is temporarily deranged, and their contractile power reduced.

This modification of the animal functions under alcohol, marks the second degree of its action. In young subjects, there is now, usually, vomiting with faintness, followed by gradual relief from the burden of the poison.

Effect on the brain center.

—————————-

The alcoholic spirit carried yet a further degree, the cerebral or brain center become influenced; they are reduced in power, and the controlling influences of will and of judgment are lost. As these center are unbalanced and thrown into chaos, the rational part of the nature of the man gives way before the emotional, organic part. The reason is now off duty, or is fooling with duty, and all the mere animal instincts and sentiments are laid atrociously bare. The coward shows up more craven, the braggart more boastful, the cruel more merciless, the untruthful more false, the carnal more degraded. ‘ In expresses, even, indeed, to physiological accuracy, the true condition. The reason, the emotions, the instincts, are all in a state of carnival, and in chaotic feebleness.

Finally, the action of the alcohol still extending, the superior brain center are overpowered; the senses are beclouded, the voluntary muscular prostration is perfected, sensibility is lost, and the body lies a mere log, dead by all but one-fourth, on which alone its life hangs. The heart still remains true to its duty, and while it just lives it feeds the breathing power.

And so the circulation and the respiration, in the otherwise inert mass, keeps the mass within the bare domain of life until the poison begins to pass away and the nervous center to revive again. It is happy for the inebriate that, as a rule, the brain fails so long before the heart that he has neither the power nor the sense to continue his process of destruction up to the act of death of his circulation. Therefore he lives to die another day.

How to Develop Successful Time Management Skills

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

Hello Friends,

I trust you have had a terrific week-end with your family and friends. We had a bit of your hot weather today. They say it will cool back down tomorrow.
Do you have a problem managing your time? Maybe you are like a lot of other people and can’t find the time to get things done. Try making a list of the things you have to get done. Then break it down into a list of the most important ones. Some people go with that. I always took the things I didn’t like to do, I did them first. Once I got them out of the way, the rest was very easy to get done. On Time…

It seems that good time management skills are becoming more and more important in today’s busy world of business and personal life. No longer are time management tactics important only for busy executives. These days, every level of employee can use good time management to do his or her job better. And these skills are no longer confined to the office. Managing your limited time wisely can be just as important during non-working hours.

With so much at stake, it is hard to imagine anyone not taking the time to develop the time management tactics that are so essential to success. Unfortunately, the subject of managing time is not one that is taught in many colleges. Most college students, and employees, learn their time management skills in the real world, through trial and error.

While this real world experience is important to learning how to manage your time more wisely, it is also important to do some research into professional time management techniques. Using these tried and tested techniques is a great way to take what you have learned on your own, enhance it, and make it even more useful.

There are many places to learn these tried and true time management techniques. There are courses taught at high schools and college campuses. There are books written on the subject and articles written for magazines. There are also a large number of web sites, newsgroups, blogs and other technological ways to learn the time management skills that are so critical to success.

There are also a large number of products devoted to helping workers, students and others learn how best to manage their valuable time. Some of the most popular time management products include planners and calendars. These planners are a great way for workers to see at a glance what projects they are working on, when those projects are due, what has been done, and what still remains to be done. This is a very important part of time management, since there is no substitute for actually seeing what you need to do.

There are also a number of online planning tools that are a great way to learn time management and apply what you have learned. These planning tools are a great way to record exactly what you need to accomplish, and work out a plan for accomplishing those goals.

Every busy executive can tell you about the importance of managing your time more effectively. Everyone has a limited amount of time, and it seems that these days everyone is trying to squeeze more and more stuff into the same amount of time. It is easy to see how this desire to constantly do more can lead to the stress and anxiety that plague our modern world.

Learning time management skills, therefore, can do more than make you more effective and efficient at work. Learning to effectively manage your time is a great way to make your time stretch, reduce your stress and even improve your health. That is because more and more doctors and medical professionals are discovering the profound impact of stress and tension on health. The better you are at managing your time, the less you will be affected by stress. This can help you achieve your goals and get the success you have always wanted.

Until Next Time,

The Most Important Lesson in Golf

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Hello Friends,

It is such a gorgeous  day here in the beautiful pacific northwest U.S.A, Really makes you appreciate being alive. All of the beautiful snow capped mountains west of us. I love the mountains. I hope your day is wonderful also. This weather sure does make you want to be outdoors. Maybe doing what you love doing.

When I watch  newbie golf players hit the ball I find that they are usually misaligned to their target. Typically, they aim way too far out to the right. The reason they aim to the right is because the inexperienced player has the tendency to hit the ball with their arms which causes the ball to pull to the left. This means that they are compensating for a flaw in their swing by just aiming their body out to the right instead of fixing the actual flaw.

What this boils down to, is that the inexperienced players’ bad swings make the ball go on target and their perfect swings make the ball end up in the trees, or bunker on the right of the target. So, they are seeing their good shots as bad shots and bad shots as good shots. If this is the case, the inexperienced player will never want to fix their swing flaws. If they don’t fix their flaws they will never reach their golfing potential. This is why I call alignment the most important lesson in golf.

Check Your Alignment

In order to find out if you are a player that has swing flaws, you must check your alignment. To do this, all you have to do is pick out a target and do your normal set up. Once you feel like you are ready, lay a club down at your heels or toes. Then, step back about 10 paces behind the ball to see where you are actually aimed. If the club you placed at your toes or heels is parallel left of your actual target, you have properly aligned yourself. If the club on the ground points to the right of your target you are mis-aligned.

If you find that you are mis-aligned, you must learn to square up your stance. To do this, simply find a target in the distance that you want to hit the ball to. Take out 2 golf clubs that you rarely hit (ie. 3 iron and 4 iron). Take the first club and lay it down directly at the target (you will have to step back a few paces to check this). Place the second club parallel to the first club on the ground. Now, take away the first club that is pointing at the target. You should have one club on the ground that is parallel to the left of your target.

Once you have the club on the ground parallel to your target line you have a guide to help you align your feet, knees, hips and shoulders squarely. If you aim your body squarely to the club on the ground and you hit the ball to the left of your target you have just found out that you are pulling the golf ball which means you are trying to hit the ball too hard with only your arms. If you hit the ball to the right of the target from this square alignment you are sliding your body too much laterally through impact which is causing the ball to fly to the right.

Learning that you are misaligned can be quite shocking at first but don’t think of it as a bad thing, think of it as a good thing. It’s a good thing because you now know that you have a swing flaw and you can get on the road to fixing it so that you can play even better golf in the future.

Until next time,

BE GOOD TO YOURSELF, STAY HEALTHY and BE HAPPY!!!

Hello Friends,

I trust your day is going well. I am so sorry for all the folks living in the heat of the mid-west. I guess we have been pretty fortunate our temperature has been down for the past few days. The high today was seventy-eight degrees. The wind is another thing. It has been pretty windy. I don’t know if you are able to play golf in the wind or not. I don’t play but the Game does fascinate me. I am taking these articles out of my article vault. I’m not I’m not sure who wrote the articles, but they are very good, For those who are wondering, Yes, I do have a license for them

Golf is supposed to be an enjoyable game. We golf over and over again, because we love the game. So why do we beat ourselves up, just before we get off the first tee box? Have you ever heard yourself with a bunch of negative emotions before the golf round?

“Another day out on the golf course and my back is killing me.” Why would you even consider golfing, if it were painful? Why did those even consider golfing with a bad back? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“I have to get through this eighteen with the least amount of pain.” Why not play nine holes instead of eighteen? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“I am not too sure if the mental part of my game can take any more. It’s tough mentally when things just aren’t going right.” If your confused mentally, why even bother picking up a golf club? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“I hope this is not going to be another brutal round, like the other day?” When things are not going right, why not take a day off from golf and meditate instead? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“If I do not hit the fairway on the first tee box, I think I’ll quit playing golf after eighteen.” Why quit after eighteen when the first shot may be the reason to quit? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“If I do not make par on the first hole, I am not going to keep score for the rest of the round.” If your temper is that bad, why carry a scorecard at all? I’ll tell you why. All for the love of golf!

“The first water hazard my ball ends up in, my golf clubs are going in with it.” Do yourself a favor and play with rentals. Why? All for the love of golf!

“I better not three putt any greens today. I’ll break my putter on the first three putt green, if I do.” Do yourself a favor and pick up for two. Why? All for the love of golf!

“Frosty will never see winter, if I get a snowman today.” Do not play golf with anybody by the nickname Frosty. Why? All for the love of golf!

To help avoid some of these negative emotions, booking a tee time in advance will help keep your mind on a positive level. Why? All for the love of golf!

Until Next Time,

Remember This Golf Driver Tip!

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

Hello Friends,

It’s a wonderful day, today. The sun is peeking through the clouds, the birds are singing and Richard is home for a change. He has been working seven days a week Now that the weather has warmed up. I was beginning to think the cold weather was here to stay.

Our neighbor hurt his foot when he was beginning his cherry harvest. (I don’t know if this is true) I heard He got off his tractor, left it running, it started to move. He ran back to jump on the tractor. He missed the step and the tractor ran over his foot(OUCH!!!) Come On, Even Old Granny knows

That is a NO,NO!  Why do people do things like that?

Every golfer wants to know the best golf driver tip. I hate to disappoint you there are many great golf driver tips that could be the key to unlocking monster drives for you. Every month the golf magazines have dozens of tips in them, but none of them get to the root of the problem.

If I were to get the opportunity to write a golf driver tip for a magazine, I’d say something against the norm. Something teaching instructors wouldn’t want to hear. Do you want to know what it is? It’s not some quick fix, because they never work long-term. The “only” thing that works long-term is working on you.

Your body has a current level of physical ability. I don’t care how many balls you hit at the range; how many lessons you take; and what driver you’re swinging. Hitting the ball further takes an increase in club head speed. Period. So hitting more balls or taking more lessons won’t improve this.

The only thing that can improve club head speed is strengthening your core rotational strength and flexibility. Your core is the engine to your swing. A weak or inflexible core will not give you the results you are looking for.

The golf swing a turn back and a turn through. Isn’t that about as simple as you can make it? If that’s true, why wouldn’t you improve your body’s ability to rotate quicker and more powerfully? This is the ticket to longer drives!

There are many simple, yet effective core rotational exercises you can do in your home, or even office to greatly improve your club head speed and driving distance.

Do you want an easy one you can do right in your chair?

Cross your arms in front of your chest. Sit up tall and erect. With a fixed head position, rotate to the right and left slowly. See how far you can go. Do this without stopping. As you feel a loosening of the core, start to rotate faster and faster. Do this 20 or 30 times when you think about it and I guarantee you’ll feel it.
Since time is such a valuable commodity, you’ve got to get creative. I’ve put together a complete section of my manual that covers simple stretches and exercises you can do right in your chair in your office. You can’t get more convenient than that.

I hope I didn’t disappoint you with this golf driver tip.
Have a wonderful rest of the week-end!

Until Next Time,

All About Golf

Friday, July 15th, 2011

Hello Friends,

We are coming into another week-end. I trust your week went very well. Now it’s time for Relaxation. With the gardens and landscaping done maybe it’s time for a round of golf. That is something I was never able to take part in Because of my disabilities. However it always interested me. My family members loved it.
I found articles in my article vault. All about golf I’m going to post a few of them over the next few days.

I hope there will be something of interest to you.
Sunny laid back Sunday morning, extended weekends or a vacation, discussion on none of these is complete without a mention of golf. What exactly is Golf? Well it is an outdoor ball game wherein the aim is to hit the ball into a series of holes in the minimum possible strokes. A round of golf consists of 18 holes. Now the number of strokes you need to hit one hole is your Par. Each hole has a teeing area around it, which includes a fairway, a rough sideways and a green well-mowed area around the hole. Then there are the “not so wanted” barriers like sand traps, water etc that are called the bunkers..

It is believed to have originated from an ancient game called Chloe, supposedly meaning, “ball”. Most of the people believe that Scotland is where Golf was born, probably out of a banned 15th century game called ‘gowf’. However many folklore relate it as an acronym for Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden. The modern Golf came into being again in Scotland in the later half of the 19th century. Later on over the 20th century golf saw a facelift with a variety of golf equipments and techniques being invented.

Golf has woven itself in the social fabric as the game of the elite and high-end businessmen. Would you believe if we tell you that many US business school add golf to their management curriculum? It is a game of social status. After all one has to shell out huge sums on latest equipment, the right clothing and the green fees of the golf course. This has still kept golf away from the reach of common man. Nevertheless, the massive popularity of the game can be judged by the very fact that there are over 32,000 golf courses in the world!

Players move around the golf course with their caddies who manage the equipments of the players. The player whose ball is farthest from the hole gets a chance to play first when each individual player has had his chance of playing the ball once. The game is won by the person or the team that scores the maximum holes. It can be played by teams in foursome or by individuals. A very interesting term taking rounds in the golfing community is “Golf handicap.” This is the score of proficiency of different players, which affect their net score, thus allowing players of different capacities to play against each other.

People say golf is not played by rules but by etiquette s. However, there are a few laid down rules. The most basic are “play the ball as it lies”, “play the course as you find it”, and “if you cannot do either, do what is fair”. A Golfer can play several types of shots such as tee shot, fairway shot, bunker shot, puts, pitch, flop, chip and a golf swing. A golf swing is the most complex shot that involves perfect coordination of the complete anatomy of the player.
Over the years golf equipment has grown in term of sophistication and technique. From golf balls, tees and clubs to golf carts, bags shoes, etc; it is a whole big market out there. The British officers first started professional golf. Now there are several Golf tournaments like PGA tour, Ryder Cup, U.S. Open etc. In this time and age when pollution is a big problem, the vast golf courses prove to be the breathing lungs of cities and towns where they are located. They nurture the local flora and fauna and provide a welcome respite from the concrete jungle.

Until Next Time,

MAN’S BEST FRIEND

Hello Friends,

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love their pets. I know there are some who wouldn’t be bothered with the responsibility.

I don’t understand it Course there are some who feel the same way about children. They really shouldn’t have them.

They say dogs are mans best friend, Some feel the same way about their cats. I was always fortunate because I loved

Both. We always had both.

A dog is a man’s best friend. You do everything you can to maintain your optimum health. Doesn’t your best friend deserve the same? Your dog is an active (rather the most active) member of your family and needs the same, if not more attention to health and nutrition as you do, to stay healthy, and live longer.

After all it’s very easy to get lost in big pet store. The sea of products that we have today, aisle after aisle is very confusing and also time consuming. However keeping your dog healthy need not be a career option for you. All we need to use is a little commonsense and good information regarding the breed and age of your dog.

Let’s divide the dogs into two categories – small & adult.

For Small Dogs & Puppies

It has long been established and proven that small dogs have a different metabolism as compared to large dogs, due to physiologic effect of their body mass. For ex.,

Great Dane weighing 100 pounds needs to consume about 23 calories per pound of body weight Pomeranian weighing 6 pounds needs to consume 47 calories per pound of body weight every day-more than twice as much!

As owner of a small dog, you need to be certain that your dog’s energy needs are being satisfied.  Be sure to choose a diet that’s been formulated properly with optimal balance of highly digestible nutrients. Digestibility determines how much your dog can actually utilize each nutrient in a diet.

Puppies require almost twice or thrice as much food as adult dogs per pound of weight. To keep up their energy levels, they have to be fed as frequently as three to four times till they are six months of age.

Diet is always the key to raising your children or puppies. The diet should balanced, nutrient rich, should contain high levels of phosphorous and calcium and be highly digestible. It should also contain high-quality proteins and should adhere to Association of American Feed Control Officials’ (AFCO) procedures. This would ensure that the puppy develops strong bones, muscle and tissue.

For Adult Dogs

Your dog like you needs a combination of fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water in a balanced diet to meet their daily needs. A lot of dog food bags claim they are in themselves complete food. This ends up as null if the nutrients cannot be absorbed by your dog’s system. Major companies take great care in this aspect by trying to provide the nutrients in an absorbable form.

Dog foods must also consist of mineral and vitamin supplements in a balanced form. The proportions should be accurate so that they do not interfere with each other in your dogs system. This would provide maximum benefit to you dog. If the food consists of one ingredient in overdose and the other in lower doses, it could have an adverse affect on your dogs health.

Given below are some feeding tips to make chow time more pleasant:

Always keep the food dish clean.

Feed adult dogs twice a day to prevent hogging at one single meal and lessens the chance of your deep chested dog developing bloat or stomach torsion.

Feeding Schedule should be relaxed so that your dog knows the meal time but will not bother you if you are a little late.

Keep your siblings away from your dog while feeding, so that he does not get insecure and feel a need to defend his food.

Never let your dog have free access to food, lest they have constant activity in their digestive systems.

Make sure your dog sits and has his food, in which case there is less chance of food spilling all over the floor.

Never play with your dog with his dish, better to teach him manners instead.

Until Next Time,

BIG REWARDS COME FROM SMALL CHANGES

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

Hello Friends,

Welcome to the Best Community Self Help Family!
We are not here to sell you  anything only hoping to have what you are looking for.

So many of us are facing problems with the economy in such shambles., Some without jobs, some loosing their homes, sickness, marriages on the verge of breakup.

I sometimes believe the whole world has gone mad. Another child missing, then found brutally murdered. Parts of his body thrown in the trash.

Sometimes it’s just nice knowing there is someone around who cares. We care.

From the minute we are born our brains are being programmed by adults, don’t do this, don’t do that, that’s right, that’s wrong, the list goes on. Parents all over the world programming their children’s minds with what they believe is right. Like a computer the information is stored in the memory and is repeated day in and day out, over and over again. Once programmed it is sometimes hard to change our life we consider normal.

However, by looking at ways of improving the mind can only bring the dreams we have one step closer to reality. With small changes we can all improve the way we live. If we sit back and live the life we have been given it will always stay the same.

Achieving can become addictive, as a smoker for most of my life and tried to pack up more times than I can remember. There were plenty of reasons to quit, children, the cost and health were the top ones. However I always could find a good excuse to start again.

Then One day and I still don’t know why, I woke up and decided I wasn’t going to smoke again, there wasn’t a last one or last puff I just stopped. I did that 28 years ago, packing up was not easy but once I made up my mind, that was it.

My head is now programmed to believe that I don’t need them, and since stopping I have continued to look for the next challenge. 28 years ago I would have loved to know how to turn on a computer, I now own 3 of them and have a number of websites too! I am always on the look out to find ways of improving myself.

Talking to people is one of my favorite past times but for some reason I always got nervous when I had to stand up in front of people and give a talk.

By slowly changing the way our minds are programmed, it is possible to achieve almost anything in life, with confidence and self-belief more and more people are getting out of life what they only dreamed about before.

Until Next Time,

BE GOOD TO YOURSELF, STAY HEALTHY and BE HAPPY!!!
